AUSTIN – Central Health President & CEO Dr. Pat Lee announced today Dr. Jaeson Fournier is no longer CommUnityCare’s CEO.
CommUnityCare is one of Texas’s largest Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) and operates as part of the Central Health system. As CommUnityCare’s CEO, Fournier was an employee of Central Health.
“Jaeson’s leadership during challenging times has made it possible for us to create a bold, unified vision of building one of the strongest FQHC systems in the country. We will continue to build on those efforts and strengthen our partnership with CommUnityCare,” Dr. Lee said.
CommUnityCare is the main provider of primary care within the Central Health system, providing comprehensive services including women’s health, behavioral health, and dental care for Travis County residents with low income. Its board of directors maintains a majority of patient members, ensuring community-directed governance.
The Central Health system also includes Central Health’s specialty-care practices, contracted providers, and Sendero Health Plans.
Dr. Cynthia Brinson, vice chair of Central Health’s board of managers, committed to continued collaboration with CommUnityCare.
“We look forward to working closely with CommUnityCare’s board and staff to strengthen our partnership and address future challenges. We cannot do this without them. The CommUnityCare board is vital to ensuring patient needs are met and patient voices are heard and supported,” Dr. Brinson said.
Details about the CEO search process will be announced at a later date.
